I call my studio Evolutions Studio because my work is constantly evolving. I started out 45 years ago in fibers: stitchery and weaving. Then I started painting and practiced watercolor and acrylics on paper. From there I moved into mixed media on paper and canvas. In my late 50s I attended New Mexico Highlands University and studied drawing, painting and print making. Recently I have returned to fiber art. I make small art quilts using recycled materials, surface design techniques and felting. I like trying all kinds of unusual materials in my work. My pieces are about color, texture, and design.
I have shown my paintings and collages in a number of small group shows and a few one woman shows. In 2007 I had a one person show of assemblages called "Bricolage" in Grinnell Iowa. In recent years I have participated in several shows each year with the Iowa Art Quilters Group. The July 2014 issue of Quilting Arts Magazine featured a group project in which I participated.
