Whilst I have been sewing for years, the real passion for using my sewing machine started after participating in a machine embroidery cushion class. I experimented with free motion machine embroidery and learnt more about my machine in one day that I hadn't known in years of using it. I wasn't very good at the free motion bit but kept practicing and now it is my favourite thing to do. I have recently started experimenting with fabric painting, using stamps and stencils, thread painting and fabric collage and in 2016 participated in a joint exhibition with 2 friends, one a photographer and the other a like minded textile junkie, also a fellow MoM Challenge participant, Lyn Pecchiar. We continue to challenge and inspire each other and are having fun participating in this challenge together.
