Made on Monday!
In November, 2015, I decided I would commit to creating one mini fabric art piece per week for a year. I posted this announcement, along with the image of my first mini piece, on the FB Textile Arts page I belong to. Within hours, I had over 500 ‘likes’ and expressions of interest from other artists who said they’d like to participate as well.
This challenge is open to all two-dimensional artists working in all and any media. The only limiting criterion is that each piece must be 5” x 5” and that the artist must have completed at least 12 pieces in order to be featured on this site.
Made on Monday is a work in progress … please enjoy the work showcased on the Made on Monday site and plan to come back often as new work and new artists will be added continually. Imagine, if I could attract 50 artists who each produced one piece a week for an entire year … there’d be over 2500 original art works on this little site! Thank you for supporting these talented and committed artists!
I’m old enough to remember when Monday was traditionally the day set aside for laundry … well, times have changed. Welcome to a far more creative approach to the start of your week.
If you would like more information about Made on Monday, or you are an artist—or know one—who might like to participate, please get in touch with me.
